Terms of Service
Last updated October 6, 2026
The short version: PerkFolio helps you keep track of your credit cards' perks. It reads your bank data only if you link a bank, never moves money, and isn't financial advice. Your card issuer's own terms always win over anything PerkFolio shows you.
Agreeing to these terms
PerkFolio is run by Vlad Lovin, an individual operating a personal project (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us for the PerkFolio website, iPhone app and browser extension (together, “PerkFolio”). By creating an account or using PerkFolio you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data. If you don't agree, please don't use PerkFolio.
Who can use PerkFolio
You must be at least 18 and live in the United States. One account per person, and the details you give us must be true and yours.
What PerkFolio is, and isn't
PerkFolio lists the statement credits and perks on the cards you add, tracks how much of each you have used, and reminds you before they expire. It can suggest which of your cards to use for a purchase.
- It is not financial, credit, tax or legal advice. Suggestions are information to help you decide. Which card you use, open, keep or cancel is your choice.
- It is not affiliated with any card issuer, bank or card network. Card and brand names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the cards you hold.
- It never moves money and cannot make payments, transfers or purchases on your behalf.
Card benefits and accuracy
We build our catalog of card benefits from issuers' public information and keep it as current as we can, but issuers change benefits, amounts, enrollment rules and dates, often without notice. Matching your transactions to credits is automatic and can be wrong.
- Your card's cardmember agreement and your issuer's statements are what actually apply. Check them before relying on a figure, especially for anything that costs money if it's wrong, like a deadline or a 0% financing end date.
- We are not responsible for a credit that wasn't received, a perk that expired, or a fee or interest charge, even if PerkFolio showed something different.
Linking a bank
Linking a bank is optional. If you do, you authorize us to receive data from the accounts you choose through Plaid Inc., as described in our Privacy Policy, and you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. You may only link accounts that are yours. Bank data can be late, incomplete or wrong, and a connection can stop working; we'll tell you when we notice. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.
Your account
Keep your password private. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor sign-in in Settings. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away at VladLovin@getperkfolio.com if you think someone else has used it.
We send emails and notifications about your account and your cards. Security emails, like sign-in codes, always go out. Credit alerts and reminders can be turned off in Settings.
Using PerkFolio fairly
Please don't:
- use PerkFolio for anything unlawful, or with accounts that aren't yours;
- try to get into another person's account or data, or test our security without our written permission;
- copy, scrape, resell or build a competing product from PerkFolio or its catalog;
- overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer PerkFolio, or get around its limits.
Found a security problem? Email us. We welcome reports made in good faith.
Price
PerkFolio is free today. If we ever add paid features, we'll say so clearly before anything costs money, and nothing will be charged unless you choose it.
Whose is what
Your data is yours. You let us use it only to run PerkFolio for you, as the Privacy Policy describes, and that permission ends when you delete it or your account. PerkFolio itself (the software, design, name and the catalog as we've compiled it) is ours. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything for them.
Ending
You can stop using PerkFolio and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or PerkFolio at risk, and we'll tell you why unless that would be unsafe or unlawful. If we ever shut PerkFolio down, we'll give you reasonable notice first where we can. The sections on accuracy, no guarantees, limits on liability and disagreements still apply after an account ends.
No guarantees
PerkFolio is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate, or that it will suit your purposes.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost credits, rewards, profits or data, arising from your use of PerkFolio. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose, or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have that can't be waived.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the date at the top when these terms change. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect and ask you to agree to it again. If you don't, you can delete your account.
Disagreements
If something goes wrong, please email us first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly that way.
